Rev. Charles Limpar

January 20, 1925 — September 18, 2010

Reverend Charles M. Limpar, 85, died on Saturday, September 18th. Charles grew up in Hellertown, PA. He graduated from Hellertown High School, now known as Saucon Valley Manor Assisted Living where he was residing. He was a graduate of Elmhurst College in Elmhurst, Illinois and Lancaster Theologi¬cal Seminary. Charles began his service in the ministry at St. Paul’s United Church of Christ in Allentown, and retired from Allegheny United Church of Christ, Pittsburgh and Springdale Hungarian Reformed Church, Springdale. He was the minister of sev¬eral other churches in Allentown, Bethlehem, Easton and Levittown, NJ during his career. He was active in his communities and served as past president of the Allentown- Salisbury Kiwanis, Chaplain for the Masons and Islam Grotto, and President of East Allegheny Community Council. Charles enjoyed music and poetry. He loved learning the Hungarian language and attended language school for many years. His greatest pastime was playing and watching baseball. He threw out the first pitch during a Lehigh Valley Iron Pigs baseball game last year in front of 85 extended members of the Limpar family. Survivors: A son, Mark Limpar of Allentown and daughter, Lori Limpar of Breinigsville. A sister, Rose Klotz of Holy Family Manor, Bethlehem and numerous nieces and nephews who created great memories for him. He was predeceased by five sisters and three brothers. Services: At his request, services will be private. Burial at Woodlawn Cemetery. Arrangements are being made by Falk Funeral Home of Hellertown.
