Rene Albert

Rene Albert, 77, of Pennsburg, passed away on October 5, 2016. He was the beloved husband of Janet (Dochnal) Albert. They celebrated 56 years of marriage in August. Born in Philadelphia, he was a son of the late James and Grace (Cox) Albert. He served his country honorably in the Marine Corps. Following that, he worked in the Research Department of Rohm & Haas in Philadelphia until retiring in 1996. Following his retirement, he studied Computer Science and had a second career as a Computer Technician for Best Buy until 2009. He was a member of St. Philip Neri Catholic Church in Pennsburg. He was also a member and past president of the Upper Perkiomen Lions Club, a past board member of the Open Link Senior Center in East Greenville, and a member of the Golden Agers in Pennsburg. Along with his wife, Rene is survived by a daughter, Lynne Delprato, and a son, Donald, both of Willow Grove, PA; grandchildren: Leigh Delprato and Evan Albert; and great grandchildren: Nicole, Evanna, and Payton. He was predeceased by a daughter Maurene, and siblings: Glen, Rahn, and Margaret. A Memorial Mass will be held at 11 AM on Tuesday, at St. Philip Neri Catholic Church, 1325 Klinerd Rd, Pennsburg, where all are invited gather from 10 AM. The service will conclude with military honors. Interment will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his memory to the Upper Perkiomen Lions Club, P.O.
