Raymond Vatter

Raymond E. Vatter, 92, of Lancaster, formerly of Hellertown, died peacefully January 2, 2019. He was the beloved husband of the late Gloria (Fletter) Vatter. Born in Lancaster, he was a son to the late Richard Earl and Violet Elizabeth (Evans) Vatter. Raymond was a VP of Purchasing for the former Martin Zippel Company in Phillipsburg for over 40 years before retiring in 1997. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Lancaster, a member of LSM Association, and member of the American Legion, Hellertown Post. Ray is survived by his children: Roxana Sanders of Lancaster, Raymond Jr of Mountville, Richard of Florida, Lori Slaski of Hellertown; 17 Grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren; his siblings: Richard Jr of Alexandria, VA; Robert of Lancaster, and Faith Cable of Sinking Spring. He will be interred at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to Juvenile Diabetes Foundation, East Central Pennsylvania Branch, 3009 Market Street, Camp Hill, PA 17011.
