Phoenyx Getchius

Phoenyx Salvatore Getchius, 16, of Pennsburg and Catawissa, passed away after a battle with mental health on Tuesday, August 22nd, 2023. He was the beloved son of his mother, Amber Getchius, stepfather Peter Puchalski, and his father Ryan Getchius, and stepmother Tina Getchius.

A student at Upper Perkiomen School District and, recently, Southern Columbia High School, Phoenyx was an avid wrestler, enjoyed boxing and weightlifting, and was a whiz with computers. He loved the outdoors, being in nature, and working side by side with his Dad.

Along with his parents, Phoenyx is survived by siblings, Braylon, Lyric, Ian, Sean, Ira, and Elleana; grandparents, aunts and uncles, cousins, and many friends. He was predeceased by his baby sister, Benita Louise Getchius, in 2004.
