Pearl Helen Bodor

Pearl Helen Bodor, 92, of Hellertown, passed away September 19, 2021. She was the widow of Andrew Bodor, who passed in 1996. Born in Detroit, MI, she was a daughter of the late Frank and Elizabeth (Ceban) Pondelek. She worked in the family business, Pondelek’s Greenhouses and Flower Shop, her entire life. The business was started by her parents in Bethlehem and later moved to Hellertown. She was a 1947 graduate of Liberty High School. She was a former member of St. John’s Windish Lutheran Church in Bethlehem, and a current member of Christ Lutheran Church in Hellertown. Pearl was also a member of the Lehigh Valley Florist Association, the Lehigh Valley Chamber of Commerce, and the Women’s Club of Hellertown. Surviving is a son: Frank Bodor, of Naples, FL; daughter-in-law, Jacqueline Bodor, of Hellertown; grandchildren: Cori (Bodor) Gombocz, Kyle, Alexander, and Jamie Bodor Jr.; and great-grandchildren: Luke Gombocz, and Madison, Aria, and Callum Bodor. She was pre-deceased by a son, Jamie Bodor, in 2002; and siblings: James & Alfred Pondelek, and Frances “Dolly” Tomko. A Funeral Service will be at 11 AM on Tuesday, September 28, 2021 at Christ Lutheran Church, 69 Main Street, Hellertown, PA. A viewing will be from 10-11 AM at the church.
