Paul H. Garavaglia, 78, of Allentown, passed away peacefully on March 3, 2022. Born in Nanticoke, PA, he was the son of the late Alexandro and Marjorie (Tully) Garavaglia. Paul enlisted in the Army in 1961 and served his country until 1964. He married his loving wife, Gail (Csencsits) Garavaglia, on June 10, 1967. Paul was a mechanic at Bethlehem Steel for over 30 years, before retiring in 1996. Paul was an outdoorsman who liked gardening with his wife, Gail, sitting on the back porch in the summers, jogging and going for hikes in the woods around his house with his son, Ken. He was a very likable man and everyone in the neighborhood knew who Paul was from his many walks around the block. Paul also liked to play games with the family, especially card games, and was known to be quite the card shark—not to mention he also had quite a few magic (card) tricks up his sleeve! Although Paul was a man of few words, he sure could make you laugh. You never knew what to expect from him whether eating at the Olive Garden, one of his favorite restaurants, for Thanksgiving or going to a late Christmas Eve service. There was never a dull minute with Paul! And when he would get together with his brothers, then you better watch out because anything could happen. Even though Paul is gone, he will not be forgotten by those he left behind and he will be truly missed. Surviving is his son: Ken and his wife, Tina Garavaglia, of Allentown, Brothers: Carl, and his wife Dorothy, of Nanticoke, Alfred and his wife, Ellie, of Kingston, and Grandchildren: Faith & Hope. He was predeceased by his loving wife: Gail (Csencsits) Garavaglia, and his sister: Dolores Kopko. There will be a graveside service at Holy Saviour Cemetery, 2575 Linden St, Bethlehem, PA 18017, on Tuesday March 8, at 11AM.
