Paul D. Bauder, 88, of Center Valley, passed away December 11, 2015. He was the beloved husband of Ellen (McCarthy) Bauder. They were married 66 years this past September. Born in Center Valley, he was a son of the late Elmer and Esther (Eisenhardt) Bauder. He served his country honorably in the Air Force during WWII. Paul attended Moravian College, and the Embry Riddle School of Aviation. He was an automotive technician for 35 years for the Ford Motor Co. He was a member of Assumption B.V.M. Catholic Church, Bethlehem. He was a private pilot, hot air balloon enthusiast, and a motorcyclist. He loved to be outdoors, especially hunting and trapping. He was an avid traveler. He was known by his family and close friends as “Bachu”.
Survivors: His wife, his children: Sherry, wife of Robert Zondlo, of Effort, PA; Judith, wife of Dennis Dougherty, of Bethlehem; Debra, wife of Mark Abbott, of Chambersburg; Paul J. Bauder, and his wife, Margie, of Hatfield; and Mary, wife of Keith Bernd, of Allentown; a sister, Grace, of Wallenpaupack; 17 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren. He was pre-deceased by siblings: Harold, Louise, Carol, Joseph, and Clare.
Services: A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 AM on Thursday at Assumption B.V.M. Catholic Church, 4101 Old Bethlehem Pike, Bethlehem, PA. All are invited to gather from 9-10:30 AM at the church. Interment will be private.
