Patrick Doyle

It is with a profound sadness in our hearts that we share the news that our brother, Patrick (Pat) Doyle has passed away. After a long and valiantly fought battle, the complications of Diabetes became insurmountable and Pat has joined

the Lord on Friday,December 16th,2022.

Born and raised in the Rhawnhurst section of NE Philadelphia and a proud graduate of Resurrection, Father Judge (1975), Penn State and Widener University.

He was a truly special individual with a happy go lucky personality that saw life through rose colored glasses. The proverbial glass was always half filled. Pat had the ability to make anyone in his presence feel important and, the focus of his attention.

Pat’s love of music started with his older siblings listening to Beatles, Stones and playing harmonicas in the house. The trumpet was learned in grade school and soon after music developed into Pat’s passion and lifelong joy. He was proud of his self-taught musical skills with his first guitar song being the 1972

Deep Purple classic Smoke on the Water.

Music allowed Pat to “lived his dream” and have a truly great, adventurous, fun filled life. He was so very fortunate to have grown up in a tight knit neighborhood with other aspiring musicians who remained his lifelong friends.

He maximized his opportunities to play guitar and sing as a member of local cover bands such as Land’s End, Spill the Wine and the Homewreckers at night/and on weekends during the 80’s and 90’s while

Takin Care of Business during his day job in the structured corporate world at PECO /Exelon.

Many will recall that Pat moved to the Poconos after retirement where he enjoyed the beauty and quiet of the area. He soon started a DJ business for local establishments and for those who knew Pat, you won’t be surprised that he

made many friends along the way.

Pat was the third son of Joseph C. Doyle and Mary T. Doyle (née McVeigh) and lovingly remembered by his family members. His brothers Joe (Sima), Dennis (Patricia), his sister Mary. His nephews; Joe, Tom (Andrea), Mike (Laura), Patrick

(Ally), and Christopher. As well as great nephews Liam,James and Joseph and, great nieces Maggie, Annie and Greer in addition to many, many, many cousins, (we are Irish after all) and of course, many, many friends.

Memorial Donation to assist with further research and improved treatment options can be made to the American Diabetes Association (ADA).
