Norman Charles Hoffman, 93, of Barto, passed away September 8, 2018. He was the beloved husband of Claire Elaine (Windsor) Hoffman. Born in Wescosville, he was a son of the late Norman and Bessie (Haas) Hoffman. Norman served his country honorably during WWII in the 29th Army Infantry Division. He was a graduate of Muhlenberg College and received a Master’s degree from Lehigh University. He was an elementary reading specialist for the Upper Dublin School District for over 30 years. He was a past president, and active volunteer with the Goshenhoppen Historians. He enjoyed being the Pack Peddler each year at the Historian’s Folk Festival. Surviving are children: Bryan Hoffman, and his wife, Karin, of Brooksville, FL; and Freya Hoffman, and her lifetime companion, Brian Smith, of Solebury, PA; siblings: Kathleen, wife of Gene Kennedy, of Kutztown; and Russell Hoffman, of San Diego, CA; a sister-in-law, Kim Hoffman, of Schwenksville; grandchildren: Amy, Maria, and Nickolas; and great-grandchildren: Lucian & Julian. He was pre-deceased by a son, Wayne, and siblings: Lamont, Wilbur, and Irwin. Memorial Services will be held at 2 P.M. on Sunday, November 11, at Red Men's Hall, 116 Gravel Pike, Green Lane, PA 18054.
