Norman L. Benner, 92, of Frederick and formerly of Pennsburg and Coopersburg, passed away November 11, 2014. He was the husband of the late Murial (Wright) Ballew Benner, and the late Irma (Schleifer) Benner. Born in Tylersport, he was a son of the late Horace and Katie (Leister) Benner. Norman was an Army veteran of WWII. He was an auditor for the Harleysville Insurance Co. for 32 years before retiring. He was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Red Hill He was an active member of the Saucon Lodge #49, F.&A.M., Coopersburg, as well as a member of the Lehigh Consistory, Allentown and the Rajah Shrine, Reading. Norman served as the chairman of the Zoning Board, Coopersburg for 9 years, and was a founding member of the Coopersburg Ambulance Corps. Surviving is a daughter, Cheryl, wife of Larry Jordan, of Landenberg, PA; siblings: Harold Benner, Pauline Berndt, Mable Eisenhauer, and Ruth Marx; 2 grandchildren; and 3 great-grandchildren. He was pre-deceased by a sister Pearl Youngken. Services will be at 12 PM Monday at the Falk Funeral Home, 163 Main Street, Pennsburg. A viewing will be from 10:30 AM-12 PM. Masonic Services will be at 11:30 AM. Interment will follow at Woodland Cemetery, Coopersburg.
