Norma Jane Jonathans (Schollenberger)

Norma Jane Jonathans, 76, of East Greenville, passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 19th, 2024. Born in Kempton, she was the daughter of the late Leroy and Mabel (Kunkle) Schollenberger. She was the beloved wife of Edo Jonathans. She was a graduate of Kutztown University with a degree in education and attended West Chester University while working on a master’s degree. Norma taught kindergarten at Hereford Elementary School until she retired in 2006. After her retirement she devoted her time to watching her grandchildren grow and play in numerous sports. She was a member of the Shepherd of the Hills Calvary Chapel in Bechtelsville.

Along with her husband, Norma is survived by her daughters, Emilie E. Adam, and her husband Joseph of East Greenville, and Michele Jonathans of East Greenville. She is also survived by her beloved grandchildren: Brayden and Zachary; and her brother, Marlin Schollenberger, and his wife Maryann of Myerstown. She was predeceased by a brother, Roger.

All are invited to gather with her family on January 11, from 10 – 11 am with a celebration of her life to be held at 11 am at Shepherd of the Hills Calvary Chapel, 527 Hoffmansville Rd., Bechtelsville, PA 19505. There will be a luncheon to follow in the Fellowship Hall.
