Nevin G. Stong Jr., 92, formerly of Skippack, died February 18, 2011 at Parkhouse-Providence Pointe. He was the husband of the late Wanda (Jackowski) Stong. Born in Montgomery County, he was a son of the late Nevin G. and Edith Eckert) Stong Sr. He was a Navy Veteran of WWII. He owned the former Stong Floor covering, Trooper in the 1960's and 70's. He was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Phoenixville. Surviving: Sons: Todd and Dennis, both of Skippack; and Douglas, and his wife, Stacey, of Collegeville; Daughters: Beverly, wife of Albert Wood, of Silver Spring, MD; and Debra Tartaglia-Stone, of Spring City; 8 grandchildren; and 6 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by children, Nevin G. Stong III and Kathy Stong; and siblings: Edward Stong, Naomi McFarland, Ruth Casper, and Marion delaCure. Services: A memorial service will be at 2 PM on Saturday, February 26th at the Parkside United Church of Christ, Phoenixville. The family will receive guests following the service.
