Muriel L. Ballew-Benner, 83, formerly of Pennsburg, passed away on April 16, 2011 at the Frederick Mennonite Community, Frederick, PA. She was the beloved wife of Norman Benner. Born in Collingdale, PA, she was the daughter of Lewis E. & Mary (Thompson Gorman) Wright. Muriel retired in 1990 after 30 years in claims and administration for Harleysville Insurance retiring as Assistant Secretary. She was a member of St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Red Hill, Perkiomen Chapter #318 Order of the Eastern Star as the Emblem Bearer, Past Royal Matron, Dorothy Lim Memorial Court #110 of the Amaranth of Stroudsburg, PA. Survivors: Husband, Sons: Herbert K. Ballew of Quakertown, PA, Oscar A. Ballew of Blandon, PA, Allen D. Ballew of Fairbanks, AK; her daughter Muriel D. Ballew of Quakertown, PA; a daughter-in-law Carol of Bethlehem, PA; grandchildren: Frank, Andrew, Dann, Troy and Christian; and great grandchildren: Rachel, Heather, Caleb, Joshua, Katie, Micah, Kyra, Chad, Cody, and Jacob. She was preceded in death by her son Lewis and a sister Anna Davidson. Services: Visitation from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, April 26, St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church, 1244 St. Paul's Church Rd., Pennsburg with services to follow in the church sanctuary.
