Mildred Seckel, 93, of Green Lane, passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 22, 2021 surrounded by her beloved family. She was the wife of the late LaVern R. Seckel. Born in the Wissahickon Hills section Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late George and Mildred (Haley) Eckerlin. Millie was a graduate of Roxborough High. She worked as a bookkeeper for many years. In her later years, many may remember her at the checkout in Redner’s Grocery Store in Red Hill where she worked for over 10 years to 2012. She was an avid horsewoman and a member of the Blue Spruce Ricing Club in Alburtis, the Montgomery County Equine Council in Creamery, and the Marlborough Township Civic Association where she served on the open space committee. She is survived by her daughter Lisa, wife of Gregory Cameron of Perkiomenville; a half-sister, Amelia Eckerlin of Easton, MD; and many nieces and nephews. All are invited to gather from 1 – 2 PM on Wednesday, August 25th, at the Falk Funeral Home, 163 Main St., Pennsburg. A Celebration of her Life will begin at 2 PM. Interment will be held privately.
