Mildred Aries

Mildred Henrietta Aries, 91, of Hellertown and formerly of Massapequa Park, NY, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on August 27, 2010. She was the widow of William Aries and Herman Schoonebeek. Born in Queens, NY, she was a daughter of the late Christian and Margaret (Foster) Bucheit. She was a graduate of the NY Art Students’ League, a draftsperson for the NY Telephone Co, and a lifetime professional artist. She was a member of the Suburban Art League, the Penn Women’s Club, and the Pequa Women’s Club. Surviving: are 4 daughters: Tina Walsh, of Medford, NY; Karen, wife of Peter Cotter, of Beaufort, SC; Dot, wife of John Callahan, of Lower Saucon Twp., Joanne, wife of George Moretti, of Charlotte, NC; a son, Norman Schoonebeek, of Medford, NY; a daughter-in-law, Ellen Parascando, of Bushkill; 8 grandchildren: Michael, Steven, Bill, Ray, Dan, Kayli, Jessica, and Kaitlyn; and 2 great-grandchildren: Lucas and Aidan. She was pre-deceased by a daughter, Andrea; a son-in-law, Mike Parascando, a grandson Thomas and sisters, Margaret and Helen. Services: 7:00 P.M., August 31, 2010 with viewing from 6:00 pm to services at the Falk Funeral Homes & Crematory, 1418 Main Street, Hellertown, PA.
