Merle Metz

Merle Anna Metz, 99, of Lower Saucon Twp., passed away July 26, 2016. She was the widow of Paul S. Metz. Born in Derry, Berks County, she was a daughter of the late Harry and Edna (Gerber) Garton. Merle was employed in various knitting mills in Shoemakersville and in the Lehigh Valley before retiring. Surviving is a son: Paul S. Metz Jr., and his wife, Elsie, of Lower Saucon Twp; step-grandchildren: Robert Packard, and his wife, Karen and Almon Packard and his wife, Shari; and step-great-grandchildren: Samantha, wife of John Reynolds; and Eric Packard. Services are private.
