Mel Harris, (67) of Quakertown, PA went home to be with his Lord and Savior on May 11, 2025. He was the husband of Pam Harris with whom he enjoyed 36 years of companionship. Born in Greenville, South Carolina, he was the son of the late Richard Allen Harris and Erla Pauline (Duckworth) Harris of Hanover, PA. Mel’s greatest joy in life was spending time with children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
As well as being survived by his wife Pam, Mel is also survived by his children: Kesha Kemmerer, Melinda McKimm, Jennifer Bauernschmitt, Tiffany Headman, Stephen Headman, Samantha Branning and Teala Brank. He is also survived by twenty-three grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
Mel earned degrees from Lehigh County Community College in Business Administration and Accounting. Mel worked for American Olean Tile for seventeen years until the factory closed. He then worked for Grid One for over 25 years. Mel enjoyed reading all the time. He also enjoyed riding motorcycles, especially his V65 Magna. Mel will be remembered for all the time he spent with his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. He really enjoyed taking his grandkids to Country Kettle, loading them up on candy and sending them home. Mel and Pam were charter members of Bible Baptist Church of Quakertown. Mel was a faithful giver.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made in Mel’s name to Bible Baptist Church Building Fund, address PO Box 152 Quakertown, PA 18952.
Friends and family are invited to gather at the Tabernacle at Highland Park 415 Highland Park Rd. Sellersville, PA this coming Saturday. Visitation with the family will be from 3:00 pm – 4:00 pm. A memorial service will follow at 4:00 pm.
