Matthew Hausman

Matthew Scott Hausman was born on August 10, 1982 in Pottstown, Pennsylvania and passed on from this life peacefully at age 36 with his loving family by his side on November 18, 2018. Living in Barto, Pennsylvania, he was a son of Mark and Mary Hausman. Matthew graduated from Upper Perkiomen High School in 2000, Reading Area Community College with an Associates Degree, and various specialty training courses for specific certifications. He worked in the lawn and pool maintenance area for various companies, as well as his own business. Matthew enjoyed being outside working in his yard and on various construction projects. Matthew was a free spirit who enjoyed music and drawing. He was a drummer in various bands, including the elementary, middle, and high school bands in the Upper Perkiomen School District. In addition, he was an active athletic youth who played soccer for various teams including the middle and high school soccer teams in the Upper Perkiomen School District. He played inline roller hockey with various teams and rinks in national competitions. When he was in his teens, his team won the gold medal in the Junior Olympic Tournament in Iowa. Matthew was a great friend to many individuals with a contagious smile and huge heart of gold. His favorite saying is from Bob Marley, “Love the life you live, Live the life you love.” Along with his parents, Matthew is survived by his children: Cassidy Lyn Ward and Ethan Scott Hausman; a brother, Michael Stephen Hausman; a sister, Melissa Lynn Hausman, and his nieces: Kayla Paige and Sierra McKenzie Hausman. Matthew is preceded in death by his grandparents, Frances and Monroe Hausman, Jean Fleck, and Henry Walter Schurmann. Matthew was a member of Shepherd Of The Hills Church in Bechtelsville, Pennsylvania. His funeral services and burial will be at the church on Monday, November 26, 2018 at 11 am.
