Mary Rose Slemmer, 65, of East Greenville, passed away on Wednesday, May 6, 2009. She was the beloved wife of Barry E. Slemmer. They were married 41 years last June. Born in Fountain Hill, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Mary (Stofan) Muhr. Mary Rose was an inspector at the former Ford Aeronautics plant in Lansdale for 21 years. Prior to that she worked as an inspector at the former Western Electric in Allentown and as a sales clerk at the former Hess’s Department Store, Allentown. She was a member of St. Philip Neri Catholic Church and the Upper Perkiomen Senior Center. Mary Rose enjoyed crafts and making centerpieces for events at the center. She also loved to cook and bake for church bingo. Survivors: Along with her husband she is survived by sisters, Shirley, wife of Bernard Rossetti of Allentown; and Patricia, wife of Richard Koch, of Hellertown. She was pre-deceased by sister, Josephine. Services: Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, May 13 at 10 AM at St. Philip Neri Catholic Church followed by burial at Holy Saviour Cemetery in Bethlehem.
