Mary Ellen Mauro

Mary Ellen (Jarazo) Mauro, 74, of Perkiomenville, passed away on December 29, 2025 surrounded by her family.

Born in Brooklyn, NY, on January 20, 1951, Mary Ellen was the daughter of the late Ramon and Margaret (Kiernan) Jarazo. She grew up in Brooklyn and graduated from Catherine McCauley High School, followed by secretarial school. Mary Ellen shared 43 years of marriage with her devoted husband, Louis Mauro.

Mary Ellen found great joy in spending time with her family, especially her children and grandchildren. She also cherished time with her closest friends, and was masterful at solving Sudoku puzzles. Over the years, Mary Ellen volunteered in her children's schools, and with United Rehabilitation Services, an organization supporting disabled adults.

Mary Ellen was a 14 year survivor of breast cancer.

Along with her husband, Louis, Mary Ellen is survived by her children: Michele Hesler and her husband Sean; Brian Tunstall; Christina Gilson and her husband Bryan; her grandchildren Krystal Rahner and her husband Andrew; Katie Dooley and her husband Justin; Andrew Hesler, Leeanna Hesler, Jared Hesler, Brayden Gilson, Kieran Gilson and Julian Gilson; and her great-grandchildren Gavin, Everlee, Keegan, Mason, Ava,and Carter.

She is also survived by her sisters: Suzanne LaBella andher husband Donald, Dolores Alpern and her husband Richard, and Margaret Ross and her husband Mathew; her brother James Jarazo and his wife Patricia; her brother-in-law Anthony Mauro, and her sister-in-law Annette Clay and her husband Chuck, as well as many nieces and nephews.

Mary Ellen was preceded in death by her parents, Ramon and Margaret Jarazo, and her sister-in-law Phyllis Mauro.

A memorial service will be held in the chapel at Limerick Garden of Memories, in Limerick, PA.
