Mary Machamer

Mary Frances Machamer, 95, formerly of Green Lane and Reading, passed away February 13, 2016. She was the widow of H. Edward Machamer. Born in Millville, PA, she was the daughter of the late James Madison and Mary E. (Kear) Linn. She was a hosiery buyer for the former C.K. Whitner, Reading, and then was a sales clerk for Bailey, Banks, and Biddle, Reading before retiring. She was a member of Friedens UCC, Sumneytown, and a former member of St. Mark's UCC, Reading. Surviving: is a daughter C. Linn Woodward, of Green Lane; granddaughters: Jenny, wife of Gary Baughman; and Ellen, wife of Roy Moll; and great-grandchildren: Gage, Emily, Rianne, and Carolyn, wife of Liam Carroll. She was pre-deceased by a son, E. Scot Machamer. Services: A memorial service will be at 11 A.M. on Thursday at Friedens UCC, 1011 Church Rd, Sumneytown. Friends may gather from 10-11 AM at church.
