Martin E. Krueger

Martin E. Krueger, beloved husband and father, 66, of East Greenville, was called home April 28, 2011 at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Allentown. He was the husband of Holly B. (Stauffer) Krueger. Born in Beloit, WI, he was the son of the late Martin A. and Inez V. (Trader) Krueger.

He was a 1967 graduate of The University of Wisconsin, Madison where he attained his CFA designation in 1977. He began his career as an investment banker, was Head of Investment Section for Mayo Clinic, Rochester MN, then the Senior Vice President of Investments for Northwestern Bank of St. Paul, MN, following that he was an Investment Officer for Amcore Financial Bancorp, Rockford, IL and he began his career with Blommer Chocolate Company in East Greenville in 1981and was the Executive Vice President when he retired in 2007.

He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Allentown where he served as a Trustee and was a chairman of the Finance Committee. He was a member of the Board of Quakertown Hospital; belonged to the Pennsylvania Manufacturing Confectioners Association (PMCA) as a member of the Research Committee, Convention Committee and the PMCA Board; and was a board member and served on the Investment Committee for Presbyterian Homes, Inc. and was on the Upper Perkiomen Valley Chamber of Commerce Board.

Survived with his wife are a son and daughters: Scott Krueger, Deborah and her husband Dan Miller, Jennifer and her husband Dan Holton and Megan and her husband Adam Fox; and step-children Tyson and Kelsey Cleverly; nine grandchildren; and siblings Marcene Green, Mary Beth Busch and Merle Krueger.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. on Monday at The First Presbyterian Church of Allentown, 3231 Tilghman St., Allentown PA 18104. Friends and family are invited to call at the church from 9-10:30.
