Martin “Mort” H. Hallowell, 87, of Bath, passed away on August 28, 2013. He was the husband of the late Genevieve (Tierney) Hallowell for 30 years before her passing in 1978 and then Virginia (Conner) Hallowell for 29 years before her passing in 2010. He was a graduate of Hellertown High School and served his country honorably as an aviator in the US Marines rising to the rank of Corporal during WWII. Following his service, he was a foreman in the Rolling Mill at the former Bethlehem Steel Corp. for 44 years before retiring in 1986. He was a past president of the Heights AA and a past Vice President of the Bethlehem Clubman’s Assn.. Mort was an avid gardener and loved to travel. Survivors: Sons: David and his wife Dannette of Maryland, and Theodore, and his wife Brenda of Houston, TX; a brother Robert of Whitehall; and a sister Doris Lamana, of Bethlehem; and grandchildren: Tiffany and Tara. Services: 1 p.m., Tuesday, Falk Funeral Homes & Crematory, 1418 Main St., Hellertown. All are invited to a viewing from 11 AM until the time of services in the funeral home.
