Martha H. Walter, 98, formerly of Pennsburg, passed away July 12, 2013. She was the widow of Allen Walter Jr. Born in Vernfield, she was a daughter of the late William and Emma (Musselman) Hoffman She was a sewing machine operator for the former Sumneytown Pants Factory. Martha was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Sumneytown. She had also been a member of the Golden Agers and the Upper Perkiomen Senior Center. Surviving are children: Bruce, and his wife, Debbie, of Pennsville, NJ; Linda, wife of Neil Gery, of East Greenville; Dolores "Dolly", wife of David West, of Riverside, CA; and Alan "Dennis", and his wife Thu, of Pennsburg; a brother, Russell Hoffman, of Telford; 11 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and 2 great great grandchildren; and her daughter-in-law, Dottie Walter. She was pre-deceased by siblings: William, Lester, Melvin, Henry, Herbert, Ernest, Dorothy, Violet, Viola, Mary , Emma, and Helen; and a son Neil. Services will be on Friday at 11 AM at St. John's Lutheran Church, Sumneytown. A viewing will be from 10-11 AM at the church.
