Marie Rhoads

Marie Rhoads, 97, formerly of Second Avenue, Hellertown, died February 5, 2011 at LifeQuest Nursing Center, Quakertown. She was the widow of George F. Rhoads, who passed away in 1980. Born in Bethlehem, she was a daughter of the late William and Anna (Polan) Trefny. She was a second grade teacher at the former Reinhart Elementary School, Hellertown, from 1932-42. She was a member of St. George's Episcopal Church, Hellertown. Survivors: Son, Brent, and his wife, Jane, of Hellertown; a daughter, Onalee, wife of Alan Mease, of Ocala, FL; 5 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. She was pre-deceased by a brother, William, a sister, Ann Black, and a grandson. Services: Will be on Monday, February 14th at 10:30 AM at the Falk Funeral Homes & Crematory, 1418 Main Street, Hellertown. A viewing will be from 10:00-10:30 AM.
