Marie C. “Connie” Klingner, age 95, passed away peacefully at her home at The Winds, Duncansville, PA on Monday November 12, 2007 following a brief illness. She was surrounded by her family. Born on June 6, 1912 in Bethlelem, PA, she was a daughter of James and Gertrude (Stein) Connors. She was a 1931 graduate of Bethlehem Catholic High School, and then attended St. Luke's Nursing School and became a Registered Nurse in 1935. Connie was a dedicated RN and worked at St. Luke's Hospital in Bethlehem, retiring in 1970. She was united in marriage to Adolph Frank Klingner, Jr. on August 16, 1939. Her loving husband "Nip" of 55 years preceded her in death on December 10, 1994. An infant child and two brothers, Edward Connors and James Conners also preceded her in death. Survivors: a sister, Gertrude wife of George Hetzel, and a sister-in-law Lillian Connors, both of Bethlehem; twins, Karen wife of Carl Phillips of Phoenix AZ and Dr. Rusty Klingner and his wife Beth of Hollidaysburg, PA; five grandchildren, Kristian Paris, Russ Paris and his wife Elza, both of Seattle WA, Erik Klingner and his wife Tara of Haddon Heights, NJ, Kevin Klingner and his wife Shannon, Mark Klingner of Hollidaysburg; stepgrandson Jamie Ritter and his wife Katie of Warrior's Mark PA; and four great-grandchildren, Markus and Katie Klingner, Sophia Paris and Audrey Klingner. She was looking forward to the arrival of another great-grandchild in the spring. She was very fond of her nieces and nephews and their families. Connie was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church in Hollidaysburg PA. Connie moved to Hollidaysburg from Hellertown in 1996 and to The Winds in 2005. Found in her personal papers were the words "I have been blessed by my children. Love to my family and all the kind people I have met here who have been so kind to me." Services: A funeral mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday November 17, 2007 at St. Theresa of the Child Jesus Catholic Church 1408 Easton Rd, Hellertown.
