Marianne Helen Schatz

Marianne Helen (Myers) Schatz, 92, of Royersford passed away peacefully at her home on Saturday, May 8th, 2021. She was the beloved wife of the late Harold Schatz. Born in Birdsboro, Pennsylvania, she was a daughter of the late James B. and Helen S. (Strunk) Myers. She was a Bead Builder at former Firestone Tire Company in Pottstown; then went on to work as a Uniform Presser at the former Sunset Manufacturing Company in Pottstown. She was a member of Augustus Lutheran Church in Trappe; also a member and past Worthy Matron of Eastern Star Chapter #460 in Birdsboro; a past president of American Legion Auxilliary Post #676 in Birdsboro; a Girl Scout Leader for many years; and a past president of Pottsgrove Elementary School PTA. Her greatest source of pride and accomplishment was her family. She is survived by her daughter Cynde, wife of Paul Hunsberger of Trappe, who was her absolute pride and joy. Mother and daughter spent a vast amount of their time together. She was also Grandmom to 10 wonderful grandchildren and Great Grandmom to four amazing great grandchildren. She was always known for her generous and caring nature, even making sure in her final days that her hospice team was made to feel appreciated with homemade treats. Her service will be Friday, May 14, 2021, at the Falk Funeral Home, 163 Main Street, Pennsburg at 12 PM. Friends may gather to greet the family between 11am-12pm. Mask wearing and practicing social distancing will be required.
