Mabel Wieand

Mabel M. Wieand, 99, formerly of Palm, died April 22, 2011 at the Phoebe Richland Health Care Center. She was the widow of Raymond Wieand. Born in Spinnerstown, she was a daughter of the late John and Jennie (Kline) Fegley. She was a 1932 graduate of the Kutztown Normal School. She was an elementary school teacher, first in Milford Square, and then in Palm and Red Hill, retiring in 1969. She was a member of Trinity Great Swamp UCC, Spinnerstown, where she was a former Sunday School teacher and a past president of the Women's Guild. Surviving: Daughters: Elinore, wife of Glenn Gold, of Bethlehem; and Maxine, wife of Robert Hollinger, of Appomattox, VA; 6 grandchildren; and 9 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild. She was pre-deceased by siblings: Frederick, Anna, and Amy. Services: A celebration of life will be at 2 pm on Wednesday at Trinity Great Swamp UCC. Friends may call at the church from 1 to 2 pm.
