Lydia A. “Dolly” Reinhardt, 64, of Perkiomenville, died Thursday, December 25, at the VNA Hospice House in Lower Saucon Township after a long battle with cancer. Lydia was the beloved wife of Gerald A. Reinhardt. Born in Philadelphia, she was a daughter of the late John and Lydia (Binley) Brosz. For several years she was the chef at the Sumneytown Hotel. Following that she worked in the Deli Dept. of the former Yoder’s Market in Green Lane. She was then a personal caregiver until becoming ill. She was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Sumneytown and a member of the Keystone Quilter’s in Quakertown. She was also a member of the North Penn Pigeon Club in Sellersville. Lydia will be sorely missed by her husband; her son Gerald Jr. and his wife Keri of Canton, Ohio; her daughter Heidi wife of John Malmos of Lake Worth, FL; her brother Ronald Brosz of the Villages, FL; and her grandchildren Laurel and Emily Lin wife of Aaron Hoehne. A celebration of Lydia’s life will he held at 11 a.m. on Monday at St. John’s Lutheran Church 3104 Main St., Sumneytown. A viewing will be from 10-11AM at the church. Following the service, everyone is invited to share memories and refreshments in the church fellowship hall. Interment will take place at 10 AM on Tuesday at Frieden’s Union Cemetery, Church Road, Sumneytown. In lieu of flowers, donations are suggested to the church or the VNA Hospice.
