Lucianne (Luci) Cuddy passed away on October 19, 2023, at age 80. Luci was born and raised in Bethlehem and graduated from Liberty High School (‘61). She worked as an executive secretary in several organizations, including WLVT PBS39, Day-Timer, and Manufacturer’s Resource Center.
At the core of Luci’s kind and generous spirit was her passion for making others feel loved, especially by sharing her extraordinary talents of cooking, baking, sewing, and interior design. Her carrot cake, chocolate chip cookies, and meatballs–among countless other culinary delights–were legendary, and sharing delicious food with loved ones brought her boundless joy. Over the years, Luci made many prom, wedding, and bridesmaids dresses, relishing her role in helping others celebrate these special milestones in their lives. She also created curtains, pillows, and various other custom home decor pieces that beautified dozens of homes.
Luci had an eye for color, a flair for design, and a keen attentiveness to the little details that made a big difference. Her creativity was evident in everything she did–from adding an unexpected ingredient to a recipe, to finding the perfect trim to make a pillow “pop,” to coming up with a clever solution to a tricky problem.
Luci enjoyed a full life with David, her husband of 44 years, and her extensive network of family and friends (including several furry friends!). She loved music, singing, and dancing, and she and David spent many an evening together at concerts and shows.
Luci was the daughter of Alfred and Marianne Crivellaro. She is survived by her sisters, Lou Ella and Marianne Crivellaro, of Bethlehem, PA; her children, Brian Cuddy, of Wilmington, DE, and his wife, Amy Relich Cuddy, and Susan Cuddy Gallagher, of Durham, NC, and her husband, Sean Gallagher. She is also survived by her beloved grandchildren, Riley and Connor Cuddy and Quinlan and Myla Gallagher, and her granddog, Rooney Cuddy. She was predeceased by her husband, David Cuddy, and brother, Charles Crivellaro.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Advent Moravian Church, where she was a devoted member for many years.
All are welcome to join Luci’s family and friends at a service celebrating her life at Advent Moravian Church (3730 Jacksonville Road, Bethlehem, PA 18017) on Saturday, December 30, 2023, at 10:30 a.m.
