Louise Clare

Louise Clare, aged 97, passed away peacefully on March 25, 2026. Born on July 28, 1928, in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania to the late Robert and Alice (Munshour) Wetzel. Louise graduated from Gettysburg High School in 1946 and went on to work for Prudential and AARP as a benefits administrator.

Louise will be remembered by her children: Hank Clare and his wife Wendy of Sumneytown, PA, Karen Pepe and her husband Michael of Marlton NJ, David Clare and his wife Maryanne of Ogden, UT, her 10 grandchildren: David, Melissa, Erin, Erik, Emily, Donna, Rachel, Meghann, Mark and Amanda; her 14 great grandchildren: Vincent, Michael, Logan, Charlotte, Benjamin, Theodore, Thomas, Rider, Katrina, Madison, Maranda, Gino, Camilla, Madeline. She was preceded in death by her siblings: Kenneth, Mac, Gladys, Dorothy, and Jeanne, daughter Tracy Macfarlan, and granddaughter Grace.

Graveside Services will be held 12:00 noon on Friday May 15, 2026, 12:00 at Flohr's Lutheran Church Cemetery, 590 Old Route 30, McKnightstown PA 17343. A time of fellowship and sharing of memories will follow.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to St. John's Lutheran Church Building Fund, 3104 Main Street, Green Lane, PA 18054 in Louise's memory.
