Lonnie Darren Black

Lonnie Darren Black, 66, of Cressona, passed away on April 17, 2026.

Born on November 22, 1959, in Coral Gables, Florida, he was a son of the late Lonnie Clifton Black and Zorita Joan (Lawson) Maley.

Darren was a proud graduate of Twin Lakes High School of West Palm Beach FL and later dedicated his career to careful stewardship of finances as a long-time comptroller, managing accounts with integrity and precision for most of his life. Darren also served honorably in the U.S. Air Force as a Nuclear Intelligence Agent, bringing discipline and service to his work and community. Remembered for his commitment to duty, sharp mind, and steady presence, Darren leaves a legacy of professionalism and dedication.

Darren is survived by his step mother, Jane (Wally) Black Lee; four siblings, Russel (Paula) Black, of Cut Off, LA, Shawn Maley, of West Palm Beach, FL, Beth (Brian) Chapuis, of Hurley, MS, and Russell (Joyce) Black, of Collierville, TN; as well as many nieces, nephews, and dear friends that Darren had always considered family.

Darren was preceded in death by both of his parents.

A celebration of life will be announced and held at a later date.
