Lois Marilyn (Ruhf) Hoffman was born March 27, 1924 in Allentown, PA and died peacefully on September 2, 2011. She graduated from Allentown High School in 1941. She served our country in World War II in the United States Navy as a WAVE in Washington, D.C. from 1944 to 1946 and is enshrined at the Womens Memorial in Washington, D.C. She received the American Campaign Medal and the WWII Victory Medal. She was married for 64 years to David K. Hoffman of Allentown. She worked for the Mack Local Federal Credit Union for many years. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church and a WAVE Alumni. Survivors:Husband David K. of Allentown; daughter Lynn Parsons and husband William of Tavares, Florida, son Wayne and wife Susan of Macungie, PA, daughter Joan Miller and husband Ronald of Bernville, PA, brother Russell Ruhf of State College, PA; sister Betty Sundstrom of Cary, NC; six granddaughters: Kristen, Lisa, Julie, Ashley, Lindsey and Amanda, and four great granddaughters: Payton, Samantha, Dylan and Emma. Services: The service will be private at the convenience of the family. There will be no calling hours.
