Lester B. Kemp, 80, of Palm, died suddenly October 24, 2015 at Lehigh Valley Hospital. He was the beloved husband of Christine “Tina” (Stoudt) Kemp. They celebrated 54 years of marriage in September 2015. Born in Landis Store, PA, he was a son of the late Wayne Kemp and Katie (Bechtel) Kemp. He served his country honorably in the Army during the Korean War. He worked for the former Kelsch’s Market in Palm and then for Drug Plastics and Glass Company in Boyertown as a Sales Representative for 30 years until his retirement in 2000. Since his retirement he has worked with the Falk Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pennsburg. He was a long time member of St. Philip Neri Catholic Church where he was an active volunteer and served as an Extraordinary Minister. Surviving with his wife are his sons and daughter: Michael and his wife Gianna (Agostino) of Harleysville, Timothy and his wife Kelly (Erkert) of Fleetwood, and Angela and her companion David Hosford of New York, NY. Lester has 4 grandchildren: Amanda, Betsy, Allie and Adam. His surviving siblings are: Linwood and his wife Becky of Lancaster, Joyce Hardigg of Allentown, Virgina, wife of Richard Shope of Allentown, Arthur and his wife Loretta of Kittanning, Richard and his wife Mary of Barto, Jane wife of Larry Moser of East Greenville, Melvin and his wife Rita of Barto, and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a sister Gloria. Services: Viewing will be held on Friday, October, 30, 2015 from 6 – 8 PM at Falk Funeral Home, 163 Main St., Pennsburg and an additional Viewing will be held on Saturday, October 31, 2015 from 9 – 9:45 AM followed by a funeral mass at 10am at St. Philip Neri Catholic Church, Klinerd Rd, East Greenville.. Interment will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery, Pennsburg with full military honors. Visit his “Book of Memories” at falkfuneralhomes.com.
