Leroy Heimbach

Leroy I. “Pete” Heimbach, 72, of Woodland Drive, Leesport, and formerly of Barto, died June 22, 2008. He was the husband of Janet M. (Henry) Heimbach. Born in Pottstown, he was a son of the late Walter and Susan (Leister) Heimbach. He was a loader operator for PennDOT for 30 years, retiring in 1998. He was a member of the Gilbertsville and Sassamansville Fire Companies, and a former member of the Pike Township Sportsmen’s Club. Surviving with his wife, are 4 children: Leroy R. Heimbach, and his wife, Darlene, of Douglasville; Dennis L. Heimbach, and his wife, Christine, of Birdsboro; Brenda Shelton, of Birdsboro; and Pamela Heimbach, at home; a sister, Erma Grebe, of Gilbertsville; 6 grandchildren; and 9 great-grandchildren. He was pre-deceased by a son, Scott A.; siblings, Marvin, Harvey, John, Shirley, and Janet; and a great-grandson, James. Funeral services will be on Thursday at 11 AM at the Falk Funeral Homes & Crematory, 163 Main Street, Pennsburg. A Viewing will be from 10-11 AM Thursday.
