Karl Rentzheimer

February 8, 1928 — March 18, 2015

Karl H. “Zeke” Rentzheimer Sr., 87, of Hellertown, passed away March 18, 2015. He was the husband of the late Elsie (Rittoper) Rentzheimer. Born in Hellertown, he was a son of the late William and Bertha Mae (Fluck) Rentzheimer. Zeke was a Cobbler in his own shop in Hellertown for 53 years before retiring in 2006. He was a member of Christ Lutheran Church; a founder of the American Legion Junior Baseball Program; and a life member of the Dewey Fire Company, all in Hellertown. Surviving: are his children: Karl Rentzheimer Jr,, and his wife, Melissa, of Laurys Station; Gayle, wife of Ernie Nemeth, of Bethlehem; and Paul, of Bethlehem; siblings: Betty Sloyer, of Florida; Richard, of Bethlehem; and Kathryn Gagola, of Bethlehem, grandchildren: Alan, Theresa, Brett, and Morgan, and 3 great-grandchildren. He was pre-deceased by siblings: Henrietta, Isabelle, Madelyn, Louise, Frances, John, William, and David. Memorial Services will be at 10:30 AM on Saturday at Christ Lutheran Church, 69 Main Street, Hellertown. Interment will be private at Union Cemetery, Hellertown.
