Karen Terzopolos

On Saturday, Nov 24th, 2018, Karen L. Terzopolos, 66, passed away at her home in Palm. She was the former wife of Stanley G Terzopolos and most recently engaged to the late Paul W. Franzen Jr. Born in Johnstown, PA, she was a daughter of the late Robert and Evelyn (Yarnick) Guskey. Karen was a graduate of Pennsbury High School and held a Bachelors degree from Ursinus College where she was the president of the Phi Alpha Psi sorority. She worked as a Secondary Math Teacher in the Wildwood, NJ & Perkiomen Valley School Districts, later staying home to raise two children. In later years she became a statistician for Merck Pharmaceuticals, and most recently worked as a private math tutor to many in the Upper Perkiomen Valley. Karen enjoyed the ocean, exploring wildlife, and cooking meals for the people she loved. She is survived by her two daughters: Nicole T. Inkpen and husband, Kevin, of Holliston, MA and Hallie M. Terzopolos and husband, Steve Carlucci, of Brooklyn, NY; a grandson, Robert “Cary” Inkpen; and siblings, Thomas Guskey and his wife, Jeannie, of Lexington, KY, and Marcia Grieder and her partner Steve Gensheimer of Reading, PA. A service in remembrance of Karen will be held at 3:30 PM on Friday at the Falk Funeral Home, 163 Main St., Pennsburg, PA 18073. All are invited to gather at the funeral home from 2:30 until the service begins. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Karen’s name to the Caron Foundation, where contributions will directly support families in need of treatment.
