Joyce Mae Minear, 84, of Perkiomenville, passed away peacefully with her family at her side on September 18, 2010. She was the widow of William H. Minear. Born in Collegeville, she was a daughter of the late Charles and Arma (Perry) Green. She was a member of Lower Providence Baptist Church and a volunteer grandparent at the Perkiomen Valley School District. Joyce is survived by sons Jack Schantz of Perkiomenville, David Schantz of Palm, and William and Clayton Minear, both of Apopka, FL; daughters, Judy Pafford of Apopka, FL, Joyce Ferrall of Elkins, WV, Karen Bayus of Bedford, OH, Robin Poulos of Perkiomenville, and Patti Conley of Webster Springs, WV; sister Donnabelle Detwiler of Wichita, KS; 43 grandchildren; 63 great grandchildren; and 4 great great grandchildren. She was predeceased by a son, Lee “Buddy” Schantz, a daughter Kathy Slider, a brother Howard Green, and a great granddaughter Cheyenne Minear. Services will be held on Saturday at 4 P.M. at the Falk Funeral Homes & Crematory, 163 Main Street, Pennsburg. A visitation will be held from 2 to 4 P.M. at the funeral home.
