Dr. Joshua Carter Bray, 90, of Green Lane, passed away peacefully at his home on December 3, 2015. He was the loving husband of Barbara (McKaraher) Bray. They were married 66 years. Born in Easton, he was the son of the late Charles and Elsie (Frederick) Bray. A graduate of Lafayette College, he received his MD at New York University School of Medicine, and a Masters of Public Health from John Hopkins University. Dr. Bray was a major in the Air Force, stationed at Tinker Air Force Base, Oklahoma. Following his discharge in 1955, he opened his family practice in Green Lane, retiring after 49 years in 2004. He was a member of the Warren Lodge, #310, F. & A.M., Collegeville. He was an aviation medical examiner with the Federal Aviation Agency. He was also a life member of the National Rifle Association, the American Association for the Advancement of Science, and a Fellow in the Royal Society for the Promotion of Health in England.
Along with his wife, he is survived by his children: Barbara Jean Moore of Chico, CA; Carol, wife of Dr. Norio Azumi of Rockville, MD; and William, and his wife Catherine, of Winston-Salem, NC; and grandchildren: Sean, Tess & Jessica. He was predeceased by his sister, Sandra Bray.
Memorial Services will be at 6 PM on Tuesday at the Falk Funeral Homes & Crematory, Pennsburg. Masonic Services will be at 5:30 PM.
