Josephine Check

Josephine F. Check, 89, of Holy Family Manor in Bethlehem and formerly of Hellertown, died on March 29, 2010. She was the widow of George J. Check. Born in Bethlehem, she was a daughter of the late Stephen and Elizabeth (Polchik) Bednarik. Josephine was a wonderful wife and mother. She was a member of St. Theresa of the Child Jesus Catholic Church, Hellertown. Surviving: is a son, Joseph, of Allentown; a daughter, Georgene, wife of John Chastain, of Annandale, VA; Sisters, Helen Gallo of Bethlehem; and Anna Bednarik, of Hellertown; and grandchildren: Stephen and Katherine. She was pre-deceased by siblings, John, Stephen, Barbara, Irene, and Elizabeth. Services: A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m., on Monday at St. Theresa Catholic Church, Easton Rd, Hellertown with a viewing from 8:30 to 9:30 am at the Falk Funeral Home, 1418 Main St, Hellertown.
