Joseph Volkert

Joseph C.Volkert, 59, of Bethlehem, died May 21, 2009. He was the beloved husband of Jane (Cunningham) Volkert. They celebrated 38 years of marriage in March. Born in Easton, he was a son of the late Joseph Charles and Barbara Ann (Schurz) Volkert. He graduated from Easton High in 1968 and attended Bloomsburg College. Joe enjoyed camping with his family and he was an avid Eagles and Phillies fan. He was employed by Victaulic in Forks Township prior to his illness. Survivors: wife; daughter, Susan, of Bethlehem; son, Joseph and his wife Michelle of Bethlehem Township; brothers, Jim of Bethlehem Township, and Richard of Easton; sister, Joan Tomino also of Bethlehem Township; his grandson Joseph Blaine Volkert; and nieces and nephews. He was pre-deceased by a niece, Stephanie. Services: Tuesday, May 26 at 8:00 P.M. at the Falk Funeral Homes & Crematory, 1418 Main Street, Hellertown.
