Joseph Gombocz

Joseph Gombocz, 99, of Ellen Street, Hellertown, died September 27, 2008. He was the husband of Mary (Toth) Gombocz. They were married 73 years. Born in Pittsburgh, he was raised in Yugoslavia, and returned to the United States at age 19, trained as a tailor. He was employed by the former Refowich’s Men’s Shop, South Bethlehem, as well as being a crane operator for the former Bethlehem Steel Co., retiring in 1974. He was a member of New Jerusalem Evangelical Lutheran Church, Bethlehem. Surviving with his wife, is a son, William, and his wife, Susan, of Beaufort, SC; and a grandson, James, of Ft. Lauderdale, FL. Services will be on Monday at 2 PM at the Falk Funeral Homes & Crematory Inc, 1418 Main St., Hellertown. Friends may call from 1-2 PM.
