John Walsh

John C. Walsh, 82, of Red Hill, died October 23, 2011. He was the beloved husband of Rita (Ruggiano) Walsh. Born in Philadelphia he was a son of the late John and Laura (Hyatt) Walsh. He served his country honorably in the US Navy and later worked for Leeds & Northrup in North Wales and retired in 1994. John was a member of Corpus Christi Catholic Church in Lansdale, HOPE Gardening and was a Meals on Wheels driver in Lansdale as well as the Upper Perkiomen Valley. He was a member of the UPV Lions in Green Lane Surviving with his wife are his children: Jim and his wife Marilyn, of Telford, Linda, wife of Mike Hockman, of Pennsburg; his grandchildren: John, Michelle, Jessica, Kristy, Robert and Michael; great-grandchildren: Allana, Cayden, Leila, Riley and Violet; a sister, Alice VanHorn, of New Jersey and daughter-in-law, Cindy Walsh, of Perkasie, widow of son John, who predeceased his father. A memorial mass will be Thursday, 2:00 pm at St. Philip Neri Catholic Church, 1325 Klinerd Rd., Pennsburg PA 18073. Family and friends may call from 1:00 to 2:00 pm at the church.
