John Joseph (“Jake”) Ruby, Jr, 79, of Pennsburg, PA passed away on December 25, 2015 after suffering a stroke.
Per his request, no services will be held. Falk Funeral Home is handling all arrangements.
John was born in McAdoo, PA on May 15, 1936 and graduated from McAdoo High school in 1954. He served in the U.S. Navy in the mid-1950s on the U.S.S. Lake Champlain, an aircraft carrier (CV-39). After getting married and moving to Quakertown, PA, he worked as a draftsman for Bally Case & Cooler in Bally, PA. John enjoyed golfing, travel, steam trains, drawing, reading, and jigsaw puzzles. He was a member of St Philip Neri parish and the Knights of Columbus.
John is survived by his wife, Bernice Ruby, daughters and sons-in-law, Lisa and Michael Raedler of Perkiomenville, PA, and Maria and Nathan Wagner of Rogers Park (Chicago), IL; grandsons, Jake and Tommy Basara; step-grandsons, Jake and Kristopher Raedler; nephews, Kevin and Robert Ruby; a niece, Janine Ruby Vigoda; and cousins, Ann Berlitz and Melanie Pensock.
