John Pierson

November 30, 1929 — April 30, 2015

John L. Pierson, 85, of Pennsburg, passed away peacefully on April 30, 2015. He was the beloved husband of Virginia (Heintz) Pierson. They celebrated 59 years of marriage last July. Born in Jenkintown, he was a son of the late Louis and Mary (DeJulio) Pierson. He served his country honorably in the Navy during the Korean War. He was the Administrator of the Pathology Lab at Abington Hospital for 26 years before retiring in 1992. Surviving with his wife are his sons: John and his wife Eileen of Havertown, and Gregory of Alexandria, VA; grandchildren: Jessica and Matthew; and a sister: Terri McClain of New Orleans. He was predeceased by a sister Rita and brothers David and Joseph. Services: A Memorial Mass will be held on Wednesday at St. Philip Neri Catholic Church, 1325 Klinerd Rd, Pennsburg where all are invited to gather from 10 AM until Mass begins.
