John H. Kohler, 57, of Tucson, AZ and formerly of Bethlehem, died March 31, 2011 at the VNA Hospice House in Lower Saucon Township surrounded by his family. He was the beloved husband of Paula Ann (Poretta) Kohler. They would have celebrated 30 years of marriage on April 4th. Born in Bethlehem, he was a son of the late Dorothy (Hilbert) Kohler Haney and Henry Kohler. He was a Navy veteran of the Vietnam war. Following his service, he worked for the New Jersey Zink Company. After that, he was a truck and overland transport professional, working for Eastern Industries, Praxair, and Specialty Gases. He was one of Jehovah's Witnesses and attended the Hellertown Kingdom Hall. Survivors: Wife; children: James Kolesnick of Bethlehem, Dawn Mancilla of Tucson, AZ, Sheila Kolesnick of Easton, PA, Daniel Kohler of Tucson, AZ, and Liza Kohler of San Diego, CA; grandchildren: Jasmine, Aubree, Marianeolia, Diego, Tabitha, and Atlas; sisters: Margaret Verr of Breinigsville, Dorothy Petrilla of Orlando, FL, Jenny Shisslak of Kresgeville, and a brother: Michael Kohler of Chicago, IL. He was preceded in death by a sister Linda. Services: will be held privately at the Hellertown Kingdom Hall. Private interment will be in Hellertown Union Cemetery.
