John C. Hudson Jr., 74, of Easton, passed away November 12, 2018. He was the beloved husband of Charlotte (Fields) Hudson. Born in Somerville, NJ, growing up in Hampton NJ, he was a son of the late John C. Sr. & Angela Rose (Santillo) Hudson. Jack served in the National Guard in his earlier years. He was employed for many years at Somerville RCA. He was a musician since childhood and was a member in several different bands thoughout the years including Hudson Brothers and The Soundsmen with his twin brothers Greg and Gary Hudson. 1991 Jack and Charlotte moved to Singer Island, Florida, where they resided a couple of years until they moved to Port St. Lucie, Florida up until they moved back north December 2017 to the Easton P.A. area. In Florida Jack played music for nursing homes and assistant living facilities, thoroughly enjoying every minute he could put a smile on someone’s face. He also played music in a band with a long time friend at German and Polish clubs. He was an avid ham radio operator, going by the handle of W1AZZ; as well as an avid motorcycle rider, loved his Harley. He took pride in taking care of his home inside and out, he always stayed busy. Jack always loved doing crossword puzzles from the newspaper and in recent years found Words with friends on his smart phone and enjoyed playing with family and friends. Jack loved his family and friends and stayed strong throughout his battle with cancer to the end protecting and shielding everyone from his pain and suffering. He stayed true to himself all the way through. “Live to Ride…Ride to Live”, a favorite Harley-Davidson slogan of Jack’s. Surviving with his wife, are children: Jennifer Hudson, and her companion, Stephen Harris, of Stockton, NJ; Jaime Hudson, of Easton, PA; Gina, wife of Matthew Dornan, of Flemington, NJ; step-sons: Duane Connelly, and Michael Connelly, of Easton; brothers: Greg Hudson, and his wife, Gail, of Belvidere, NJ; and Gary Hudson, and his wife, Rose, of Surprise, AZ; granddaughters: Ashley Harris and Gianna Bass; and a niece: Angela Koontz. He was pre-deceased by a step-son: James Connelly; and a half-sister: Betty Morrison. Memorial Services will be on Monday, November 26, 2018 at 1 PM at the Mausoleum at Northampton Memorial Shrine, 3051 Green Pond Rd, Easton, PA 18045.
