John Robert “Bob” Finn, 80, of East Greenville, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 27th, 2024. He was the beloved husband of Elsa (Orchard) Finn. Born on March 29, 1943, in Wilkes Barre, PA, he was the son of the late John and Mary (Murphy) Finn. After graduating from Wilkes-Barre Business College he took a job with the FBI in Washington, D.C., as a courier. He worked for Charmin Paper Products before being hired by Franklin First Federal Bank in Wilkes-Barre, where he started as a teller and eventually became a bank Controller. He was named Branch Manager of the newly opened branch of Franklin First in Shavertown, PA, rising to Vice President before going to work for the state of PA as a banking examiner; a position he held until his retirement in 2005. An extremely private person, Bob enjoyed his work, was very proud of his family, and was devoted to Elsa, his wife of 57 years.

Along with his wife, he is survived by a daughter Patricia Conrad and her partner Jay Poko of East Greenville; a son Jeffrey Finn and his wife Katherine of Houston, TX; grandsons Johnny Finn, Alex Conrad, Paul Conrad and wife Alyssa, Evan Conrad and partner Grace Cooley; and his siblings Donald, Jim, Tom, and Mary Beth Finn.
