John M. “Chip” Damiani, 71, of Woxall, passed away January 29, 2014. He was the beloved husband of Marie (Chittick) Damiani, father of Kim Smith and grandfather of Matthew Asbury. Born in Woxall, he was a son of the late Alfred and Mary (LoBue) Damiani. John served his country honorably in the Army during the Vietnam War. His life-long profession was shoe repair, owning Al’s Shoe Service in Lansdale and later the Country Cobbler in Woxall. He was also known by many through working at the spice shop in Zerns and as a part-time plumber in the area. Chip attended the Family Worship Center, Lansdale. Surviving: with his wife, daughter and grandson; siblings: Bettie, wife of Peter Miller; Peter Damiani, and his wife, Bea; Lillia, widow of Richard Schaffer; and Alfred “JR” Damiani, and his wife, Beverly; all of Woxall; and Timothy Damiani, and his wife, Wendy, of Quakertown; and sisters-in-law: Elizabeth, of Poughkeepsie, NY; and Norma, of Harleysville; 17 nieces; and 9 nephews. He was pre-deceased by brothers: Ellis, David, and Paul. Services: A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 8th at 1 PM at the Family Worship Center, 1000 Troxel Road, Lansdale, PA 19446. Friends may call from Noon-1 PM at the church.
