John Cooper

John R. Cooper, 73, of Pennsburg, passed away December 17, 2016. He was the beloved husband of Beverly (Crowthers) Cooper. Born in Philadelphia, he was a son of the late Irvin & Matilda (Gentner) Cooper. John served in the US Navy for 4 years. John was a communications technician for AT&T for 36 years, retiring in 2003. He was a member of New Goshenhoppen UCC in East Greenville. Surviving with his spouse, are daughters: Rebecca Cooper of Green Lane; and Stacey, wife of Tommy Ellixson, of Macungie; grandchildren: Cooper-Sanders and Vander Ellixson; and siblings: Janet Fries, Carol McCallum, and James Cooper, all of Philadelphia; and Grace Halchak, of Ambler; and a sister-in-law: Debra Haas of Sassamansville; and a brother-in-law: Bill Crowthers of Bally. He was predeceased by siblings: Mary Bezanis and Fred Cooper. A Memorial Service will be held at New Goshenhoppen UCC at a later date.
